Enrollment Process for Transfer Students

INQUIRE ABOUT TRANSFERRING

Current 9th and 10th graders please reach out to the Admissions Office to inquire about transferring to Dowling Catholic prior to the semester in which you wish to enroll.

Current 11th graders, please inquire about transferring no later than November to be considered to start at DCHS the second semester of your junior year.

We do not accept senior year transfer students.


HIGH SCHOOL RECORDS

Submit a copy of the student’s high school records to be considered for transfer enrollment. Admissions will be in contact with the parents once the transfer student has been accepted.

Campus Tours/Visits

Dowling Catholic offers campus tours and shadowing opportunities for prospective transfer students and their families.

Begin the Application Process

- Parents create an account in OnCampus (An email invite will be sent)
- Parents complete the *DCHS Application Form* located in your transfer student’s checklist in your OnCampus account
- Parents complete and turn in required documents

Register for Classes

Once the application process is complete, the transfer student will meet with their counselor to discuss classes and set a schedule.
The Des Moines Region Catholic School Corporation’s (the “Region”), Catholic schools, under the aegis of the Bishop, state that all of the Region’s Catholic schools admit students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the schools. The employment relationship between the Region and its employees is governed by canon law as well as civil law. As religious institutions, nothing in the Iowa Code and this policy shall be construed as prohibiting the Region’s Catholic schools from imposing qualifications based on religion, sexual orientation, or gender identity when such qualifications are related to a bona fide religious purpose. In addition, schools shall comply with the anti-bullying/anti-harassment laws of the state of Iowa, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act as such may apply to the Region’s Catholic schools.
