SUMMER MAILING – IMPORTANT INFORMATION – DEADLINE JULY 16, 2009
Following are the instructions for the Dowling Catholic High School – Summer Mailing 2009-2010. It is important that you read this Summer Mailing. Your Student’s Profile and Fee Statement were sent to your student's primary mailing address. Updating your student’s profile is important for our records and communicating important information. Please print and complete all other applicable forms, which are available on the bottom left hand side of this page. All forms and related payments are due July 16, 2009, to the Dowling Catholic Business Office. Questions? Please contact the Business Office at 222-1015.
Student Profile and Fee Statement- Review your Student(s) Profile, update and revise if necessary. The form and payment is due by July 16, 2009. If the form and payment is not received by July 16, 2009, an additional $20 late fee is due for each student. Please submit one check for the following fees:
Parking Sticker - The parking fee is $65.00. Parking permits are available at this time to juniors and seniors only. Parking permits may be picked up on Orientation day. Students parking in the lot without a valid sticker in the bottom left corner of the back window will be subject to a parking fine. If parking spots become available, an announcement will be made for sophomore students who have a valid school permit or driver’s license to enter a drawing for those spots. If you erroneously pay for a parking permit for your student who is NOT a junior or a senior, the money will be credited to your student’s lunch account.
Student Activity Ticket (SAT) - The SAT is $40.00. The SAT is good for admission to all Dowling Catholic CIML Conference Games. This SAT is imprinted on the student's lunch card.
Lunch Program-A deposit may be made into your student’s account prior to the start of school. A deposit now prevents long lines on the first day of school. Please include your student’s name and ID# on all checks throughout the school year. Free & Reduced lunch information will be available at orientation in August.
Yearbook- The 2009-2010 yearbook cost is $60.00. For an additional $8.00, senior yearbooks will be mailed in the fall of 2010.
Choir Fee- A Choir participation fee of $85 is required of every student enrolled in the choral program.
Dimensions Choir Fee-A Dimensions Choir participation fee of $250 is required for all students enrolled in the Dimensions Show Choir program.
Band Fee- A Band participation fee of $125 is required of every student enrolled in the band program.
Parents Guild Membership - $10.00 (suggested donation) Information located on website.
Bus Pass – Please visit the Dowling Catholic website for the Dowling first semester bus schedule and times. Bus capacity is limited to 40 riders. All passes must be picked up during Orientation in the Business Office. THE BUS PASS MUST BE PRESENTED FOR EACH BUS RIDE. A replacement fee will be charged for lost bus passes.
Student Directory- Your student will be included in the Directory, unless you indicate otherwise on the Student Profile. Student Directories will be available for sale at Mini School Night on September 9, 2009. The Directory will include your student’s name, address, telephone number and the names of the parents/guardian with whom the student resides.

Health Form & Medication Form – This form must be on file prior to the start of the school year.
IA Department of Public Health Certificate of Dental Screening – This form must be on file for incoming freshmen and
out-of-state transfer students.
Volunteer Forms- Dowling is happy to accept help from volunteers. There are two volunteer forms available, one for the Parents Guild and one for the Development Office.

Orientation Day- 8/18/09 Freshmen Orientation, 8/19/09 Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Orientations. Students will receive class schedules, parking passes and ID cards. School pictures will be taken; you will receive further information in July. Seniors will be measured for cap and gown.
